This Sunday is International Yoga Day — a day insp

This Sunday is International Yoga Day — a day inspired by the legacy of B. K. S. Iyengar and an opportunity for people everywhere to celebrate the art of yoga and practise together.

To mark International Yoga Day, we’ll be practising the traditional sequence designed by Geeta Iyengar — building strength, stability, and stillness through practice.

This weekend is the beginning of our slightly long

This weekend is the beginning of our slightly longer 75 minute sessions. We will focus on standing poses as well as inversions, such as headstands and shoulder stands, with support as needed. The session will enhance alignment, coordination and balance in this supported standing pose and inversion sequence. You do not need to be confident with inversions for this class. This Sunday we will begin the last day of the week

This Sunday we will begin the last day of the weekend with a deeply supported and restorative practice using props to quieten the nervous system, encourage passive opening, and promote recovery and renewal. We will end the session with some pranayama or controlled breathing to further calm the nervous system. Book your spot online www.maraetaiyoga.studio.
